Kids love characters they can relate to and have a good laugh with — I really feel these types of books keep them engaged even if they aren’t big into reading. Rhode Island artist Vanessa Piche was commissioned to paint an original work from a 1972 photo of the Warwick restaurant – the first Gregg’s location in Rhode Island. Her painting hangs now in Gregg’s corporate headquarters. It also was imprinted onto a 36-inch by 42-inch metal sheet by Blazing Editions of East Greenwich and hangs as the centerpiece in the bar area of the Tavern.
